How to Check Your IGNOU Grade Card Online — Complete 2024 Guide

What is the IGNOU Grade Card?

The IGNOU Grade Card is your official academic transcript showing the marks obtained in each course across all semesters. It is essential for:

    • Re-registration into the next year or semester.
    • Applying for migration certificates.
    • Verification by employers and higher education institutions.

How to Check Your Grade Card Online

    Method 1: IGNOU Official Website

    1. Go to ignou.ac.in and click "Student Zone".
    2. Select "Grade Card" under the Results section.
    3. Enter your Enrolment Number and Programme Code.
    4. Click Submit and your grade card will be displayed.

Method 2: IGNOU Study Guide Portal

You can also check your grade card quickly right here on IGNOU Study Guide. Visit our Grade Card page, enter your enrolment number, and get an instant result view without navigating through the official portal.

    Understanding Your Grade Card

    GradePercentageMeaning
    A80–100%Excellent
    B60–79%Good
    C50–59%Average
    D40–49%Pass
    FBelow 40Fail

TMA + TEE = Final Grade. TMA (assignments) contribute 30% and the Term-End Exam (TEE) contributes 70%.

My Marks Are Missing — What Should I Do?

If your grade card shows incomplete or missing marks:

    1. Check the assignment submission status at your study centre first.
    2. Visit ignou.ac.in → Student Services → Grade Card Status.
    3. If the issue persists after 60 days of the result declaration, submit a Grade Card correction request to your Regional Centre.

    Downloading Your Grade Card

Once the grade card is displayed online, use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P) and choose Save as PDF to download it. This serves as an unofficial transcript until the official one is issued.

    Important Dates

    IGNOU declares results for:

    • June TEE — usually in October/November.
    • December TEE — usually in March/April.

Check the official IGNOU website for exact dates each session.
